Finally got my initial tree order into the earth. This wasn’t the most fun thing I could think to be doing on a weekend but hey, I’m a driven guy. These were the Canaan Fir trees I had ordered last year and picked up about a week prior to planting. The tree’s were left sealed in the box they came in and it was time to get them in the ground. After about 50 trees or so I got into a good rhythm and knocked them all out. I had initially gotten down on my hands and knees to cover the tree roots back up with the piled dirt left by the auger but that process had all but killed my back, so I opted to stand and push the dirt in with my feet. Was a good move on my part.
